SEPP BLATTER has dropped a hint that England might host the next World Cup.
South Africa are due to stage the tournament in two years but security fears have forced FIFA to look for possible alternatives.
And that could open the door for the FA — who are preparing to bid for the 2018 finals.
FIFA chief Blatter said: “I’d be a very negligent president if I hadn’t put away in a drawer somewhere a Plan B.
“If we had to activate the plan, we’d take our decision after the Confederations Cup in South Africa next year.”
