What’s it about?
Sociopathic egghead Dr. Robotnik has unleashed a powerful beast from the centre of the planet, causing the seven continents to shatter. Sonic must retrieve the Chaos Emeralds to save the world, while dealing with the mighty sodding inconvenience of transforming into a mini werewolf hedgehog at night.
Coolest feature?
SEGA have opted for two inter-mingling gameplay modes, with 2D side-scrolling whizzing seamlessly into behind-the-hedgehog, third-person sections. And for the racers out there, Sonic will now be able to drift around corners and sidestep-strafe obstacles in his path. All at silly, dizzy speeds through real-world locations.
When can I buy it?
It’s out for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii in November.
